Custom BowStrings
​and Cables


BowDoc has been producing custom bowstrings for over 35 years for every type of archer from top professionals to recreational shooters.  If you want the best strings for your bow, then give BowDoc Archery a call.

All strings and cables are put under 350lbs of tension for several hours on compressor units and are served under 350lbs of tension to ensure tight serving and to eliminate peep rotation.   This means that the strings will already be settled in by the time they go on your bow.   No more worry of having to keep twisting strings and cables to keep your bow in tune.

BowDoc Archery works and tunes all brands of bows.  We have the latest tools, presses, draw boards and tuning devices to help get your bow shooting as well as possible.
Contact BowDoc Archery to schedule an appointment to bring your bow in and get it properly set up and tuned. 

Bow/Arrow Service
and Maintenance

BowDoc offers a full range of services to keep you and your equipment in top shape for your next Hunt, Tournament, or Recreational outing. Feel confident that your gear is ready for optimal performance.

Bow Services offered include (but not limited to): Bow Setup and Tuning, Serving repair, Peep Installation, Bow Cleaning/Tune up, D-Loop installation, Arrow building (cutting, fletching, point installation), cam/limb swaps, etc...
Prices for Compound BowStrings are as follows and include BCY X, 8190 or 452X material, 62XS or BCY PowerGrip center serving and BCY Halo or 3D end serving:
  • Compound (dual Cam): String & cables: $140 (3 piece set) -  (Dual Cam String Only $65, Set of Cables Only $75)
  • Compound (single Cam): String & cables: $140 (2 piece set)  - (Single Cam String Only $95, Cable Only $45)
  • Installation and Set up of BowDoc Strings:  $60 - Includes measuring existing set up, string installation, Setting up a new D-Loop, Installation of existing Peep, and Cam Timing.   (Additional Bow Tuning and Service is available for $60 per hour).

You may choose up to 2 colors for your string and cable sets.  
* additional $30 charge to replace yoke cables on bows such as Prime Bows, Mathews Monster, Creed, Chill, etc...

Recurve Strings will be made with BCY 8125 (unless you specifically request a different material)
  • Recurve string:  1 or 2 color:   $35 (Available 8125G colors:  Black, White, Red, Royal Blue, Electric Blue, Gold, Silver)

Have non-BowDoc Strings that you need installed?  We can help you with that as well.

String Installation of non-BowDoc Strings: 
Includes measuring existing set up, String Installation, setting up a new d-loop,
installation of existing peep, and cam timing:  $75  
You Must Drop Bow Off for String Installation.   This is not available as a Scheduled Service Appointment.

Additional Bow Tuning and service is available at $60 per hour.
